Athletes Activating Champions & Empowerment (AACE), a nonprofit dedicated to using sports as a catalyst for personal growth and community impact, is raising funds to bring Thanksgiving joy to families at Tice Elementary School.
On Tuesday, Nov. 18, AACE student-athletes will deliver 500 baskets filled with nonperishable food items to Tice Elementary students, ensuring that every family can celebrate a festive Thanksgiving meal together. The organization is calling on the community to help make this possible by making a monetary donation to purchase the food for the baskets.
“This initiative is about more than giving food – it’s about giving hope,” said Noah Moon, president of AACE. “Our student-athletes are learning that true champions don’t just compete, they uplift others. We want to show these families that their community cares and that together, we can make a real difference.”
The Thanksgiving basket drive embodies AACE’s mission to empower student-athletes to use their talents and teamwork to impact lives positively. Through service projects like this, participants learn the value of giving back, serving the community and incorporating character building traits.
Each basket will cost $25 to fill. Donations can be made directly to AACE to help reach the organization’s goal of feeding 500 families this holiday season.
AACE student-athletes will return to Tice Elementary on Friday, Nov. 21, to join the school’s students and families in the annual turkey trot.
AACE is actively seeking partnerships with elementary and middle schools, afterschool programs and organizations in need of youth mentorship. To find out more about the opportunities to bring their program to your organization, please visit AACEToEmpower.org/Contact.
