AACE blends the principles of sport with real-life tools to help students thrive in the classroom, on the field, and in their communities. Our empowerment program is rooted in meaningful conversations, guided coaching, and inclusive activities that meet students where they are and help them discover where they’re going.

4 Ways to AACE

The AACE Playbook

At AACE, everything we do starts with building trust and a genuine connection between student-athlete mentors and young people. Through consistent support and honest conversations, we establish a foundation that helps young people grow into self-confident, well-rounded individuals.

Each AACE session follows four intentionally designed stages that spark motivation, deepen engagement, and encourage open dialogue:

1.
The AACE Playbook

We kick things off with high-energy movement or icebreakers that get students talking and connecting. These physical and mental “stretches” break down barriers and help build trust.

2.
Real Talk
Mentors lead open, authentic conversations around the issues students face every day. This is not a lecture, it’s an opportunity to listen, engage, and learn together.
3.
Game Time
Through hands-on activities, role play, group discussions, and challenges, students practice tools and strategies that they can use to navigate real-life situations.
4.
Postgame Huddle
We bring it all in with a moment of reflection, encouragement, and key takeaways students can carry with them beyond the session.
Our AACE playbook dives into topics impacting middle and high school students today, such as:
Social Media: Play Smart, Stay Sharp

Exploring positive and responsible ways to use social media while recognizing and understanding risks like cyberbullying and oversharing. The goal is to help students build digital literacy skills that support confident and mindful online engagement.

Addressing common misconceptions about substances like vaping and alcohol, as well as strategies to navigate peer pressure. The goal is to empower students to make thoughtful, healthy decisions.

Mentors facilitate conversations about the importance of education and setting personal goals. Students receive practical tips on time management and staying motivated to fuel their academic and personal growth.

Life has its ups and downs; however, we can draw on lessons from sports to meet challenges head-on. Students will develop effective coping strategies to navigate setbacks, changes, and stress.

Centered on building trust and respect, mentors and students work together to enhance their communication skills and build supportive relationships with families, friends, and others who have their back throughout life.

Every Champion Needs a Coach

AACE is open to all middle and high school students, especially those navigating change, seeking connection, or needing a safe space to be themselves.

Here, students receive more than advice. They gain someone in their corner. Through our weekly or biweekly sessions, students benefit from:

  • Personalized mentorship from student-athletes
  • Character-building and wellness tools
  • A safe, non-judgmental environment
  • Strong peer relationships and connections
  • Motivation to dream and pursue their goals

AACE partners with schools, sports teams, and community organizations that share our mission to elevate and empower youth. Whether in the classroom, an afterschool program, or a community group, we tailor each AACE experience to meet the student’s unique needs.
